Are the new slot cars to detailled ?

That's a debate opposing two camps. On one side, the slot cars collectors, for whom there are never enough details. And who envy the die hard collectors with their awfully detailled 1/24e models. And, on the other side, the slot cars pilots, who do not care for silly details, as long as their slot cars are the fastest on the track. Remember, the slot cars since the sixties were to too detailed. But since the biginning of the year 2000, manufacturers like Fly, and more recently SCX and Revell for instance, did improved a lot their models. Some of them are so nice that you don't even think to race them. So, what's the point to collect slot cars and not die hard models ?
