NO MORE SCALEXTRIC'S SPORT EDITIONS ?

Rumors among the slot cars retailers drive me to think that Scalextric won't issue many new Limited Sport versions of its new slot cars. Have you seen any since the 2006 beginning ? No. Scalextric did not commented officially. But one can suppose that the British manufacturer was not very happy with its Sport version sales' results in 2005.
Meanwhile, those are still very appreciated by the slot cars collectors community, even if most of them find them too expansive in comparison with the "normal" commercial version. When Fly issue a limited edition, it is really special, and not just a slightly ameliorated version of one of its ordinary slot car.

NO MORE CATALOGUE !

According to slot cars retailers, the spanish Fly won't issue a 2006 products catalogue..., because of financial problems...
Isn't it strange at a period when the manufacturer start commemorating its 10 th anniversary, especially at a time when the slot cars business is quite healthy ?
And what seem even stranger is that slot cars manufacturers like Fly are selling their nice glossy catalogues (10 E), even to their resellers !! Or, they are advertising tools to promote their products. And in any other coporations, such catalogues are free !
Fly marketing managers should not forget that products catalogues are real tools for any real serious slot cars collectors or retailers. On line catalogues do not provide the same use, at least actually. Nevermind, Fly competitors' have issued very nice 2006 catalogues. But for how long ?
